The CABINS

Escape to a cabin in the woods! There are five available in the ‘Vintage Village." First is ‘the Savannah Railroad Caboose!’ It may not be Disney World, but there is plenty of magic for you and the children.  Stay overnight in an authentic vehicle of the past; dream of Colonial times or the days of early pioneers as you fall asleep in a real Log Cabin. The cabin theme is from the Civil War. Each cabin features an interesting individual from the days when our Nation was at War with itself and struggling to survive. Cabin number one bears the name of "General Robert E. Lee". A photo of General Lee hangs inside the cabin and is accompanied by a written synopsis of his life. The Gen. Lee cabin is a two room sleeping cabin with two bunk-beds in the first room and a full size bed in the back room. The rooms are separated by a bedroom door for privacy and is a perfect choice for couples and families.

The same Civil War format is followed in the decor of the other two sleeping cabins. Both are one room cabins with a bunk-bed and full size bed. (Linens are not furnished, so please bring your own)

Each cabin has a swing for two on the front porch and a grill, picnic table and water tap nearby. The Men's and Women’s toilets and showers are located at the side of the KOA building. (Just look for the gray privacy screens.) The cabins fill up quickly, so reserve early with a major credit card. Phone 1-800-726-5733 toll-free to check on availability and/or to make a reservation. You may also register on line.
